Hi there,

I like custom templates and custom key shortcuts. Can save custom key shortcuts with the template? for example for template A, I want different key shortcuts than what is used in B. I noticed that custom key shortcuts and building blocks are saved on MS word not in the template.

So, please let me know if it is possible to save custom key shortcuts and building blocks with templates.

Kind regards, and I look forward to hearing from you guys.

    Hi Ahmad,

    Thank you for posting your query in our community.

    Per your description, you want to create custom keyboard shortcuts for different templates in Word. I tested it on my side, here are my test results:

    1. I created two Word templates;

    1. I then created different shortcuts for different templates;

    1. Then I created new Word documents based on these templates, the custom shortcuts are still there.

    If my understanding is wrong, please feel free to post back.

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn

    The default location for shortcuts is the Normal template.

    However, you can save shortcuts to any template, assuming that the template is loaded into memory when you assign the shortcut in question.
