I created an App from a SharePoint list. Want to try using the search function, it appears that it only searched the first column/field of my data. I need it to search 2 other fields...how do I go about doing that?

Hi RpccaOKC,

Thank you for querying in this forum.

From your description, it seems that you have created a Power Apps insider SharePoint list, however, you found search function doesn’t work in Power Apps and you can only search the first column.

If my understanding is right, we’d also want to help you directly, since our category focus on SharePoint Online built-in features, the question you mentioned is related to Power Apps, to make sure you get professional help, we’d suggest you go to Microsoft Power Apps Forums to post a new thread, that’s specific channel to handle such situation.

At the same time, we have also searched a lot and we found some related threads and hope that will help you:

Search a SharePoint "Choice" column in Power Apps?

Need to search on 'Created By' from Sharepoint list

For more detailed information about it, we’d still suggest you go to Microsoft Power Apps Forums to post a new thread, then engineers in that forum have more experience than us on such situation.

If the scenario above is not consistent with yours, you can also post back and point that.

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

Best Regards,

Sukie
