Block USB on company laptops

Question

Hi,
I am new to M365 and I have been asked to see if M365 would be able to fulfill one of our requirements:

1. we would like to block USB across all our company laptops (if possible without group policy)
2. we would like a real time dashboard that displays laptops that are part of the policy and the ones exempted
3. what type of M365 license should we buy for something like this

If there are already any MS365 documentation around this please point us to that. Thanks !

You should be able to block the USB devices form Intune polices. Refer for the steps here.
