Excel keeps crashing

In File>Options>Add-ins>COM Add-Ins I turned off a pdf app add in and turned on Microsoft Data Streamer for Excel add-in. This has resulted in Excel crashing each time try to use it - on a new workbook if I enter something in a cell and press Enter it crashes, on trying to load File>Options it crashes. I have done a full repair but this has made no difference.

Would really appreciate any help in getting Excel to work again, I do most of my work on there so need to get it sorted as soon as possible.

please have backups of work you have done most recently if you choose this route.

I guess this will mean having to set up email accounts in Outlook and all the settings in various 365 apps, something I would rather avoid if at all possible.

If there is no other solution then I may resort to restoring the machine from system image I took a month ago.

    Hi dmkkg,

Sorry for your troubles. Probably the full repair is not working because it is still referencing dependencies in the same installation folder and registry keys. At best, when all else fails, Uninstall the software, and restart the PC. make sure the Office folder is completely deleted. Do a fresh installation after you restart.

Let me know how it goes.

    Kind Regards.
