Microsoft Lists Auto Email

Hi all,

I have been struggling to get a solution to this problem for a while so am appealing for help!

I am setting up a list with sales events which need to despatch on a certain date. What I want to achieve is that this automatically sends an email to another email address (not mine) when this date is todays date.

I can make this work if the date is manually updated to be today. I am using the 'out of the box' automate option in the microsoft lists screen to create a rule when a column value changes to achieve this, but it doesn't work if the date is added in the future and then becomes today (i.e, if I add an entry with tomorrows date it will not send the alert tomorrow even though the date becomes todays date).

I also need this to work even we I am not logged in to my Office 365 account.

Does anybody have any tips?

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thanks for posting in our forum.

I go through the post carefully, per the description, it seems that you want to send some automatic emails on a specific date to the related users. If my understanding is correct, as there has no such out-of-box feature in Microsoft Lists, it is suggested to build flows with Power Automate to meet the demand.

However, as the category here is not on Microsoft Power Automate which focuses on using Flows and engineers here have limited resources/experience on working flows. To make sure you could get dedicated help on building flows in Microsoft Power Automate, I would sincerely suggest you post in Microsoft Power Automate Community which is a dedicated channel for Power Automate related questions. Members and engineers there are more professional on such questions, you may have a better experience there.

Besides, I found some threads in Power Automate Community and hope they could offer a bit of idea on your scenario.

Solved: Reminder for upcoming items to users in Microsoft ... - Power Platform Community

Solved: Send an email reminder to the creator of the task ... - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

Thanks for your understanding and hope your concern could get resolved perfectly in the related community.

Best Regards,
Mia
