OneNote Loading forever

Question

For the past 4+ hours that I have been trying the app (on a mac and an ipad) and the online version will not let me review work or distribute pages. After clicking on either the tab just infinitely loads

May I know whether the OneNote app itself is not opening or the Class notebook tab is not loading?

Please ensure your OneNote for mac is fully updated. The latest version OneNote for mac is 16.53.1 (21091502). For some reason, if you can’t update OneNote app, please download the Update package from this article.

After updating check the result. In case OneNote app opens but have issues with loading Class notebook tab, please try closing and re-opening the affected class notebook. Closing and re-opening the notebook usually clears and successfully resets the connection. (Note: Before closing, please make sure the changes are synced successfully. If the changes made in desktop version of OneNote are not synced to browser before closing the notebook, your notes will be lost, and it won’t be possible to recover them.).

To reopen, go to Office 365 portal, open the notebook in OneNote for the web and click Open in desktop app.

If you the issue persists, please provide the following information:

1. please confirm the build and version of OneNote. To confirm, open OneNote app**,** go to the OneNote menu and choose About OneNote.
2. Do you get the issue is with OneNote app or Class notebook tab?
3. If the issue is with a specific notebook, please check other class notebooks to confirm if they have the same issue.

Besides, may I know what happens when you try reviewing student work and distribute pages and sections in Onenote for the web.
