MS-Access Error

I have an MS-Access database I have used for 10+ years and I daily Compact & Repair and then BackUp.

Today it failed saying 'You attempted to open a database that is already opened.... etc..'.

So, tried a backup - same message, couldn't even close MS-Access - had to delete via Task Manager.

Tried a reboot, same result.

Tried opening several of my daily backups but they all gave the same result.

Went to Settings/Apps and Repaired 365.

Tried again, same result.

There are multiple reports of this. So I suspect its a bug in a recent update. Try rolling back your Office version.

I'd urge you to use the Feedback command within Access to notify Microsoft of the issue. Be sure to include your e-mail address so they can follow-up if needed.

    All,

many thanks for your assistance on this.

This morning it appears to have been resolved but (interestingly) can't see anything in the Release Notes. How does that happen?

    Cheers again

    Dave

The laccdb file stays - because the only way is to kill the job vi task manager. SO then i have to delete it manually.

Not sure on version - im using 0365 so itll be the version from there - tell me how to find out please.
