Slicers cannot be inserted. The function is unavailable and the function cannot be pressed. Anyone know what it might be? I work in a table with different number formats but I can't find anything that prevents the function from working.

From the screenshot shared, it seems your Excel worksheet is protected and I assume it because not only the Timeline & Slicer, even the Link feature is also disabled like the image below:
So, I request you unprotect the worksheet and check the behavior.
