Hi,

I was trying to export MS Access REPORT to MS Excel and this message pops up. Any ideas why? Also the format in Access Report was not transported to Excel properly. It's out of sync. Fyi, the Access uses Excel 97 to 2003 while my Excel is 2021. Not sure if that's the cause. If so, any solutions?

Have you ever been able to export this report properly to Excel? In other words, is this an ongoing process that failed for a specific set of data this time? Or is this a new thing you're trying to do for the first time?

Access does not "use" any specific version of Excel. You can export DATA to Excel in a number of different formats so that may or may not be relevant to the problem.

In order to understand -- and possibly offer suggestions -- it would be very helpful to have the FULL context, including the specific VBA you are using to export this report.

    Thanks.

    Hi Grover,

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes I have used Access (old version) to create report and export to Excel before without problems.

A few weeks ago i upgrade my laptop and purchase Office Professional Plus 2021 which comes with current version and also current version Excel. With this version, I decided to create new database (new tables, new queries and reports). And when i tried to export the Access report to Excel, this message pops up. And the format exported is not syncing very well with Excel.

I did not use any VBA. I only use the Export to Excel buttons which is in Access.

Any ideas as to why this message pops up saying data loss?

How do i change the version? I only know how to use basic Access.

Oh...i would like to add, if i open my old access database and open using my current version, no such problem exist. But i am not going to use the old database anymore.
