Syncing error - lost all my work

My assignment is due in 1 hours and I just lost half of it.

I have all of my work saved to my school one drive and make sure its saved regularly with auto-save. I handed my work in on teams and unhanded it in when I forgot to take some notes out. however when I opened the word document, all of my work was gone. i checked everywhere. the version history says it was updated on the 10th of September but that's it. i saved it hours ago, and I started the doc a month ago. when I checked to see if everything is synced, it said there was a syncing error and it needs my attention but doesn't let me do anything to 'fix' it.

    Dear Hanksb,
I'm Renzo, I'll help you with your question.

Here is some points could help you:

    1. You have to verify in the AutoRecover location:
      C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\
YourUserName = word with five letter based in your own username
    2. Windows 10 Recycle bin also check in Windows File Explorer > select "This PC" and search with the file name in the search box "Search This PC"
    3. In order to verify in your personal cloud, in any internet browser on incognito mode go to below link:
      https://onedrive.live.com

Access with your personal account, then verify in the cloud folders structure if your file is there.

    1. Restore a previous version (Version History), find the file, right-click over it > Version history > Check out if a previous version has what you looking for.
    2. In OneDrive cloud, on left pane click on "Recycle bin" button and check out if your file is there, if so, right-click over the file and "Restore it"
    3. Finally, OneDrive cloud has a new feature "OneDrive Restore", you can go back in time up to 30 days to retrieve your content to an specific date/time, take a look more information in below link:
      https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/rest...

Note: By other hand, there are some applications to restore deleted files in your local hard-drive this applications you can found it on internet for free and others you have to paid it.
