Hi AlyDQ,
Based on the support article, the Office apps available from the Mac App Store require a Microsoft 365 subscription to activate. Excel is not available separately; it is a bundled product that comes with Microsoft 365.
As you mentioned, you paid £60 to buy Excel from App store, I believe you must have paid for Microsoft 365 Personal (12-Month Subscription).
With a subscription to Microsoft 365, you can get:
- The latest Office apps, like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- The ability to install on 5 PCs or Macs, 5 tablets, and 5 phones.
- 1 TB of OneDrive cloud storage.
- Feature updates and upgrades
As you mentioned, it is not working on iPad, please provide us with the following information:
- To avoid any confusion, could you please confirm which subscription you are using?
- A screenshot of the error you are receiving on iPad.
- Please check if you can use other Office apps such as Word and Excel on iPad.
- iPad version?
Regards,
Neha
