Dynamically Create Forms

Can't seem to find any info related to this. All searches with "Forms and Flows" assume that the Form is the Flow trigger. I'm looking to manually trigger a Form creation/modification.

I'm looking to create a Form (Survey) that will go out to different people each week. For simplicity sake, lets assume the following:

  1. In week #1, I send Form One to Persons A, B, and C.
  2. The following week, I send Form Two to Persons A, C, D.
  3. The third week, I send Form Three to Persons B, D, F.

I'll create a Flow to handle the mailing the Form links to the various people in weeks #1, #2, and #3.

I'm looking to automate the following currently manual steps:

  1. Make a copy of Form One. This initial step will create a form called Form One (2).
  2. Change the title of the Form to Form Two.
  3. Grab the new link for Form Two. Use it in the Flow to e-mail the Form link to the appropriate recipients.
  4. When week #3 comes around, make a copy of Form Two. This initial step will create a form called Form Two (2).
  5. Change the title of the Form to Form Three.
  6. Grab the new link for Form Three. Use it in the Flow to send the Form link to the appropriate recipients.

My specific questions are:

  1. Can you automate the copying of a Form?
  2. Can you automate the changing of the Title of a Form?
  3. Not discussed in my example but can you automate the changing of a item inside the Form? (not just the Title).
  4. If so, which Microsoft tool(s) would you suggest I explore? (Trying to keep this within the MSFT world).

Thanks in advance.

    Hi [SXD],

    Thank you for the reply.

Microsoft and Office 365 Community is focus on the built-in features for Office 365 applications like Word, Excel. Although your requirement is related to Microsoft Office 365, but it needs flow to meet.

About the reason why we suggest you use Power Automate, because Power Automate is a service that helps you create automated workflows between apps and services to synchronize files, get notifications, collect data, and more. Get started with Power Automate - Power Automate | Microsoft Docs

So if your query is related to the automation, we suggest you post your problem in Microsoft Q & A community, the members and engineers in this community are more experienced in this area.

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn

    Jazlyn,

Thanks for the reply. Hoping you can add some clarity for me (and I assume others) as I see many responses similar to yours pointing people to a different community/resource. I have 2 follow up questions:

    1. I don't see any sort of directory tree to see where this post lives. Is this the "Microsoft and Office 365" Community?
    2. My question was about dynamically automating the creation of Flows. I see three ways to tag this: (a) Power Automate (for the automate part), (b) Flows (for the Flows part), and (c) Microsoft 365 and Office because both are part of the Microsoft 365 package. Your suggestion is that I post on a Power Automate Community. But someone else may suggest I post in the Flows Community (if one exists or perhaps the SharePoint community if the Flows one does not exist). It seemed to me that the larger Microsoft 365 and Office "bucket" would encompass both which is why I chose this community. What advice do you have for me and others that face this same "can fit in many communities" issue? How do you know which community to go to if your query spans multiple products?

    Thanks.

    Hi [SXD],

Thank you for posting your query in our community.

Based on your description, you want to create forms dynamically via flow.

However, I’d explain that, because this problem is related to flow, my suggestion is to post on dedicated Microsoft Power Automate Community, and you will get a more detailed and professional answer to your query there.

    We appreciate your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn
