One Note Immersive Reader greyed out

Question

Hello, I installed the Learning Tools (add-in) it now appears on One Note home bar. However, the Immersive Reader is greyed out.
I have tried uninstalling, modifying, repairing and updating Office.
Still does not work. Any suggestions?

From your description, it seems that you have installed Learning tools add-in, however, you found Immersive Reader is greyed out in OneNote tab. At the same time, you have tried reinstalling and repairing Office, however, the same problem still persists.

If my understanding is right, for the situation you encountered, we do understand the inconvenience caused and apologize for it. And we have also tested it on our side and we installed this add-in in OneNote 2016, and it works fine on our side, as shown below:

Given this situation, on the one hand, we want to confirm with you if you are using Windows 7 or Windows 10, according to our search, read aloud is supported only in Windows 8, 8.1 and 10. So, if you are using Windows 7, this feature will not work on your computer.

At the same time, Immersive Reader also supports on OneNote for Windows 10 and OneNote for web, you can go to OneNote for Windows 10 and OneNote for web to check if you can use this feature, for your reference: Use Immersive Reader for OneNote (microsoft.com)

On the other hand, to better understand your situation, could you also provide the information below?

1. We assumed that you are using OneNote 2016, if so, could you provide the product information and version of OneNote 2016? You can go to OneNote 2016 > File > Account and provide the full screenshot of it.
