Until today, Excel was signed into my 365 Developer account, no problem.

Problem 1: Now it complains "bad username or password". The top of my Excel window says: "SIGN IN REQUIRED".

i can log into my Microsoft Account on the web with exact same username and password, no problem.

i use microsoft 2FA. It works at the web-login, no problem.

Problem 2: If i set a reference in a VB project to an Excel .xlsb file stored on a local disk, the reference is created, no problem.

But when i close and re-open the same book, Excel complains "Sorry we couldn't find https://d.docs.live.net....".

When i close this alert, Excel crashes.

Alternate problem: When i try to save the file which references an external .xlsb file, Excel hangs.

My OneDrive app reports "Up to date", but i'm not 100% positive the Developer account and OneDrive account use identical email-address. I don't know how to find out my Developer account email-address.

I reported these two problems together, because they both seem related to cloud, and both started at the same time. But they might not be related.

    Hi @john weiss ,
What version of Office did you install on your PC? How did you install the Office? Did you use the Office 365 Developer account to Office portal download and install Office application?
I suggest you check the version of Office you're using, go to File- Account and provide the product information:

You can also test in another PC and check if the account can sign in without problem.
