iPads for education

Question

Dears,

I have several questions , please help.

1. If we want to use iPads for Educational purposes, do we have some option to log in to icloud with some educational account , without adding credit card etc ?
2. Can I configur my devices with Microsoft Intune if in my country Apple School Manager and Apple Business Manager are not available ?

The information in the support article suggests Apple Business Manager (ABM) or Apple School Manager (ASM) is required.

Thank you for answer. I am our school system administrator. This is furst time, we are trying to use iPads. The MDM push certificate is added. But for creating enrollment program token I need to Upload Key in Apple School Manager to create an enrollment program token . But the Apple School Manager and Apple Business Manager are not available in my country . So I want to understand could I use Intune fithout mentioned services or not . Thanks again for your help .

To answer your questions:

Since iCloud is an Apple service, we will suggest you contact Apple support to confirm if you can sign into iCloud without adding the credit card. Thanks for your understating.

You can enroll iOS devices in Intune for Education only after your tenant admin has set up iOS device management in Intune for Education. To setup tenant admin requires to add an MDM Push Certificate and configure at least one enrollment program token (also known as an MDM server token or DEP token). Only after this, the users can enroll their iOS device.

Important: Intune for Education only supports iOS device enrollment for devices bought through Apple Automated Device Enrollment.
