I have a Sharepoint list linked to an Access table. I need to query person/group fields in the first Sharepoint List in Access and append a second Sharepoint list with person/group values queried from the first list. Access shows the person/group field data types in the first Sharepoint list as numeric/long integer. But I cannot create a second linked Sharepoint list that will accept the appended person/group fields from Access. Access changes the Sharepoint data type so that the second Sharepoint list won't accept them - in either a number column or a person/group column.

I needed to query the persons in list A and load unique persons (using Access Group By) to list B. I believe I've found a workaround by using a workflow to create text values of Display Name and Email Address in separate columns in list A, that can then make the trip through the Access Append query without the datatype changing.
Hi,
Thanks for posting back with your workaround with workflow.
May I confirm if it is a flow created in Power Automate? We will mark your answer as it will also help other users facing the similar concern can have a reference with using workflows to transfer the data between lists.
Appreciate your sharing and have a nice day.

Hi there,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
May I know the detailed steps to create a second linked SharePoint list that will accept the appended person/group fields so that I can do a double test on my test side to confirm it is a default behavior(feature limitation) in Access?
Besides, from my tests just now, the Person/Group field in the original list is numeric/long integer and it did become a number column when I tried to export it to a new SharePoint list.
Also, may I confirm if your demand is to link a specific column in a list to another list in a SharePoint site like if you update the column in listA, it will update automatically in listB? If so, I can share you a more efficient workaround if we confirmed it is a feature limitation in linking SharePoint lists via Access.
Feel free to post back and share more details with us to further confirm the situation.
Best Regards,
Mia
