Text Wrapping around a tabe in Word

I am having issues with the text wrapping around a table when the table breaks onto the next page. The top part of the table (on page one) doesn't allow for the text to wrap, leaving a big gap of open space next to my table. I have tried to play around with the 'wrap text' options for the table but I cannot seem to get it right. Please help!!

You may have to set a fixed position on the page to get the text to wrap around the table. To access all positioning options, click the Positioning button in the Table Properties dialog box. The screen shot below illustrates setting the Vertical position relative to the page. This is the effect if you clear the option "Move with text" (which is a good first step).

Thank you for your help, Stefan! The issue is still there but it isn't as bad anymore.

    Thanks for the follow-up.

Yes, you are quite right: preventing the table from moving with text makes it a bit easier to "type past" the table, but the table is still attached (or anchored) to a paragraph in the text, so the text wrapping isn't 100% flexible.
