Microsoft planner comments not showing

Hi Guys,

When a task is assigned to someone, the comment section does not appear in the assigned person. These two people are in the same mail group.

Thank you for querying in this forum.

From your description, it seems that someone cannot see whole Comment section under task when this user has been assigned task.

May I know if my understanding is right? If so, we have tested it on our side, we created a new plan and new task, then we added someone and added comments, then we assigned to another user, they can see comments without any problem, as shown below:

Given this situation, we’d give you some suggestions below and hope that will help you:

1. We’d suggest you go to Outlook for web > Groups > Planname > conversations to check if you can see comments.
2. At the same time, we’d suggest you change another browser to check if the same problem will occur.
3. We have also searched a lot, according to article, we found Planner users without Exchange Online may have issues with viewing or adding comments to a task:

So we’d suggest you go to Subscription page and check if those users have Exchange Online license.

In the meantime, to better understand your situation, could you provide the information below?

1. May I know if all users have the same problem?
2. May I know if the other tasks have the same problem?
3. Could you provide the screenshot of task without Comments section?
