From your description, it seems that someone cannot see whole Comment section under task when this user has been assigned task.
May I know if my understanding is right? If so, we have tested it on our side, we created a new plan and new task, then we added someone and added comments, then we assigned to another user, they can see comments without any problem, as shown below:
Given this situation, we’d give you some suggestions below and hope that will help you:
- We’d suggest you go to Outlook for web > Groups > Planname > conversations to check if you can see comments.
- At the same time, we’d suggest you change another browser to check if the same problem will occur.
- We have also searched a lot, according to article, we found Planner users without Exchange Online may have issues with viewing or adding comments to a task:
So we’d suggest you go to Subscription page and check if those users have Exchange Online license.
In the meantime, to better understand your situation, could you provide the information below?
- May I know if all users have the same problem?
- May I know if the other tasks have the same problem?
- Could you provide the screenshot of task without Comments section?
