Hi LE BRUN Erwan,
Welcome to Microsoft Office Community Forum. Thank you for sharing your concern with us today and we hope that all is well.
We understand that using OneNote for Windows 10 will be more efficient with drag, drop and paste of any file, picture or text into OneNote page. This might be affecting your studies or personal or business matters and this needs has to be address in timely manner.
As per your description, you are using Surface Pro 7 running on Windows 10 (based on the category of the thread) and OneNote for Windows 10. We believe that drag, drop and paste should be working fine for any OneNote desktop app to take notes effectively. However, we’d like to know more about it in details so that we can provide a more accurate resolution for you. To start, please provide us information/answer on the following questions:
- Please share a screen recording or a screenshot with any error message you encounter for this issue. Please see guides here: Record your screen in PowerPoint and How to include a screenshot in your post.
- Can you please share to us any troubleshooting you have tried so far?
- When did this issue happen? Was there a recent Windows update or new application or antivirus installed on your device?
- What files you usually drag and drop or paste (.pdf,.docx,.xlsx,,jpeg,.jpg)? Do you have a file reader (PDF file reader, Office Word, Office Excel and Photo reader)?
- What is the version of OneNote for Windows 10? a.) To check, launch OneNote for Windows 10 and select the 3 dots in upper right hand. and select Settings.
b.) After, look for About and let us know what version you have in your device.
We look forward to your response. If you have other clarifications about this matter, you can get back to us by replying to this post.
Sincerely,
Kathy A.
