Powerpoint and screen sharing

Question

In Sweden powerpoint does not work properly when screens are shared. I normally want my students to se powerpoint pictures I have made. Sometimes I want them to Switch between a court case and the powerpoit I have made. This works perfectly on one screen with one student.

Howevver, when presenting for an entire class I need to duplicate screens. When I click duplicate screens in Settings it only duplicates them for a short time. If a click keep the new setting and do not return to extended screens it stays in duplicate screens for a short while (10 minutes or so) enough to move between court case and one powerpoint.

However, when I move on to next case the setting returns to extended screens.

The preferred solution for me would be a setting to make duplicate screen a setting så strong that the computer keeps it until another setting is chosen.

The second best solution would be at setting that keeps duplicate screen for as long as is allowed before the computer forces me back extended screens.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Hello again

When I teach I plug my computer to the presentation system in the classroom so it is interconnected to another system.

The presentations are made solely with my computer and whith microsoft programs. It used to work well before som updates were made to Powerpoint.

I have noticed this changes:

Before I worked liked this

1. I insert the case I want the student to read to the powerpoint using insert object and chosing a file of the case from my files
2. Then I marked the inserted case and go to Action (Åtgärd in swedish). If Actions says open I choses this and it then works well. However sometimes the action button has only the choices activate (aktivera). If this is chosen problems follow.

a, the case will nor open unless a click open in a box present only att the screen the students se and which do not have the triangle moved by the mouse.

b, the screen settings jump (after a time) away from duplicate screens to extending screens whatever I do.

I beleive that these problems are connected and that there is something wrong in the program on your side.

I am willing to show you the problem but i think that you need to be with me When i teach in Helsingborg
