    Dear Max Staniland,

Good day! Thank you for posting your query in our community.

Based on your description, you want to delete the "General" folder in the SharePoint site which is associated with a team.

I want to explain that each team is connected to one or more SharePoint sites. These sites are where the team's files are stored. And in Teams, the Files tab on each standard channel is connected to a folder in the parent site's default document library.

Every team has a default standard channel, "General", which cannot be deleted or renamed, so the folder associated with it in the document library cannot be deleted as well.

I noticed you mentioned "there is one other folder in there", may I confirm what did you mean?

    Appreciate your understanding.

    Sincerely,

    Jazlyn | Microsoft Community Moderator

    Hi Jazlyn,

Ah I see, OK. So the other folder is where the data is, it was just I created the SharePoint via teams.

I will take this forward. Thank you very much for your response.
