'Excel has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. Excel will need to close as a result. Would you like us to repair now?' When I select 'Yes' it never gets repaired. This happens constantly and prevents me from getting work done and has caused me to lose files. Is there anything that I can do to fix this?

Hi William,

Thanks for your quick reply.

From the screenshot, it clearly shows that your Office is up to date.

Now that this issue happens any time you are using Excel and Word, I am afraid that your Office could have issues that may need to be fixed by performing an Online repair. This is more of like a fresh installation.

Due to this situation, I suggest we first do an Online repair via control panel and see if this will help us. Please see this article on how to do Online repair: Repair an Office application (microsoft.com).

If this doesn't solve this problem, please post back and we see the next step. And if you already performed online repair, sorry! let us know.

Apologies for the inconvenience. Thanks for your patience and cooperation.

Sincerely,

I do also get the same issue/message when using Word.

This happens anytime I am using excel.
