    Dear Mary TC,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Based on your description, I understand that you have a query "Mac M1 long delay when screen sharing". Before we proceed, we need more detailed information about the situation you are experiencing.

Please help us in isolating the issue by considering the following information:

    1. Have you checked to make sure it's not slow internet connection issue?
    2. Have you tried enabling the “Disable GPU hardware acceleration “option in Teams > click your three dots on the left of the profile photo > Choose Settings > In Settings, in tab general, > Restart Teams. Please note that Teams runs in the background > Sign in again and test the sharing again
    3. Have you tried unlocking the padlock icon as follows; settings/system preferences of your Mac > Open the System Preferences app > Go to the Security & Privacy preference > Select the Privacy tab > Scroll through the column on the left and select Screen recording > click the padlock icon at the bottom and enter the password to your account > Once the padlock is ‘unlocked’ > In the pane on the right, select the checkbox next to Microsoft Teams > Quit Microsoft Teams and open it again and check if it works.

We look forward to hearing from you; Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution. Thank you for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,
