Pen highlight stuck

When I move the curser using a pen, the highlighter stuck in the bar (as you can see in the video above). I am using a 2 in 1 labtop, and this problem never happened until yesterday.

I didn't change any sittings.

Dear George,

I think you misunderstood the problem, I am taking about a mouse highlight I downloaded from the microsoft store. It stuck on the onenote taskbar. It used to work fine.

Thanks for posting back.

I have tested in the same version of OneNote, but I can't reproduce the same situation. To troubleshoot the situation further, please try the following suggestion.

1. Please set Windows into Clean boot and disable the startup items. Check if the situation is caused by the startup items.
2. If the above suggestion doesn’t help you, please switch to another Windows user profile (if you don’t have another user profile, please create a new user profile, then switch to the new user profile), run OneNote, and check again.

If the situation still happens, I would like to collect more information.

1. Does the situation also happen in Word? You can click the Draw tab to select the highlighter and test again.
2. Does the situation also happen when you choose other pens in OneNote?
3. Before the situation happens, have you installed or updated any programs?

Also, before finding out the root cause, you can temporarily use OneNote for the Web (www.onenote.com) to highlight your notebook.

I did what you asked and nothing changed.

For the information, I did install onenote for windose 10 and the same problem happend.

The mouse works fine. the problem only appears when I use the pen.

According to the video, please try to:

1. Restart your device, then check if the situation still happens or not.
2. Repair Office and choose Online Repair. After that, check if the situation still happens or not.

If the situation still happens after trying the above suggestions, I would like to collect more information to troubleshoot.

1. Please provide your Office version

Click File> Account, please take a screenshot including Subscription Product and About OneNote.

2. If you have installed OneNote for Windows 10 on your device, does the situation also happen in OneNote for Windows 10?
