Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
Dear Andrew McAleer,
Good day!
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.
Based on your mentioned query, could you please share with me detailed screenshot page about your mailbox storage quota in private message?
On the other side, I understand that the archive mailbox has been enabled for you from admin center, if yes, kindly try to create new retention tags for the archive and deletion policies. After that, assign that new retention policy to your mailbox and then try to see the situation.
After you apply the new retention policy to mailbox, it can take up to 7 days in Exchange Online for the new retention settings to be applied to the mailbox. This is because a process called the Managed Folder Assistant processes mailboxes at least once every 7 days. But, you can force this Start-ManagedFolderAssistant cmdlet in Exchange Online PowerShell to take immediate effect,
Kindly refer this detailed process information article: Customize an archive and deletion policy for mailboxes in your organization
Note: If you are not global admin, kindly contact them in your organization to rum PowerShell command and to create retention policies related action.
Furthermore, kindly share with me above requested screenshot information in this private message https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/privatemessage/inbox **** due to data privacy reason and for further investigation.
I look forward to your response in private message. I would really appreciate your precious time.
Stay safe and healthy,
Sincerely,
