Hi, so I purchased office 2016 from a Third party and I tried to activate it on my Mac - account not recognised after entering product code. Tried all online advice including Terminal, accounts etc - failed. Change email preferences now product code has been already used Phew... No one to talk to as the phone re-directs me to the online etc etc hamster rules apply.

Can anyone help? shed any light on how to speak to someone?cheers. MH

    Hi muddle huddle

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

When you first used the Office product code, that licence should have become associated to your Microsoft Account online and it is from there that you can re-install Office without the need for a product key:

    https://account.microsoft.com/services/

Do you see your Office licence listed on your account, if you log into that link with your original Microsoft Account details?

A 2016 purchase would have included a link to install and its key and during the install process an MS Account is created/used, if that's not the case you purchased illegal software, generally a giveaway is the price paid
