Pulling data from EXCEL into WORD

I have data in Excel stored in a table, so I can use the formula referencing the table column heading (eg =[@Number]*[@Amount]).

I want to filter the data in Excel so only a subset of the data is visible, then I want that subset of data imported into Word.

I need the data to be linked, so if the Excel data changes, than the data being reflection in Word also changes.

Is this possible, and if so, how can this be achieved?

For example, I have this data in Excel.

I want to filter the data to show only items with a value greater than $500.

How can I get this filtered data to be inserted into Word and have a dynamic link that will update the Word data whenever the entries / criteria change in Excel?

    Dear tjgarland,

Greetings! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

As per your description, you want to pull filtered data from Excel table to Word and have a dynamic link that will update the Word data whenever the entries change in Excel.

We'd like to help you. Please let us cooperate and please don't worry, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation.

You may try to copy the Excel data and paste it into Word by right clicking and selecting paste option "Link and keep source formatting", as shown below.

It will link the data, when entries change in Excel, it will update data in Word automatically.

    Below is our test:

We firstly paste the filtered data from Excel to Word:

We filter data by using different criteria in Excel (Amount greater than &50), it also changes in Word.

    Hope above helps!
