Office 2021 - cannot activate

Hope someone has an honest answer and a solution that works

Before saying to run sfc or anything like, please don't, have already done that.

So, having purchased Office 2021 (I have uninstalled the pre-packaged Office 365) and custom installation (excluded PowerPoint, access and all that, only need Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio & Project Manager) I cannot register the product, I cannot even add my email to outlook (again, I do have an outlook account, I do have a Microsoft account as well), I cannot even use my Microsoft account.

So, two options, the first, asking what is wrong (what I am doing now) or I have to search for an alternative for this product.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello Anthonie,

Greetings for the day! I understand your concern and apologies for the inconvenience!

Office activation is onetime and it will force you to register again until the license has been removed from the system.

Please verify whether your subscription is still active or you're using the right account for log in. Also make sure you don't have multiple version of Office installed on your PC.

Step 1: Sign in to Office with the right account If Office asks you to sign in, enter the account you used to buy Office. You'll see "We couldn't find any Office products" if you use the wrong address. https://support.microsoft.com/office/0d23d3c0-c19c-4b2f-9845-5344fedc4380#bkmk_signin Step 2: Check your subscription status If your subscription has expired, you'll see "We couldn't find any Office products." Renew your subscription to use Microsoft 365. https://support.microsoft.com/office/0d23d3c0-c19c-4b2f-9845-5344fedc4380#bkmk_checksubscription Step 3: Troubleshoot activation Please see below link to resolve the activation issue. https://support.microsoft.com/office/0d23d3c0-c19c-4b2f-9845-5344fedc4380#bkmk_fixyourself

Before moving on with steps 3, below are the general guidelines to resolve installation or activation issue. Please follow below steps to restore the default settings in Office.

    1. Close all Office applications.
    2. Sign-out of your Office account.
    3. Remove current version of Office from Control panel and a safe reboot. You can start Safe Mode using the F8 key during start up.
    4. For clean install, please use SetupProd_OffScrub.exe tool to uninstall everything. Instructions can be found here - https://support.microsoft.com/office/9ad57b43-fa12-859a-9cf0-b694637b3b05
    5. Download the offline installer from your account portal
    6. Install Office - https://support.microsoft.com/office/f0a85fe7-118f-41cb-a791-d59cef96ad1c
