I'm trying to open my excel data model and am receiving the following error message:

"You do not have a model or the model is empty. Cannot create or manage measures"

The data model in this excel file has been accessed before, but am no longer able to.

Is there any way to gain access to the data model again?

    Dear Nicolas,

    Welcome to the forum here.

From your description, it seems that you could access the data model before. May I know what you did before the issue occurred?

Meanwhile, I suggest you try the following to see and let us know the result.

    1. Close the affected .xlsx file.
    2. Open the .xlsx with the zip tool.
    3. Check whether there is a "/xl/model" folder. If yes, delete the folder.
    4. Open the .xlsx file with the Excel application again and repair the file if it is needed.

Regarding the issue, I'd like you to upload some related screenshots for our confirmation. If it is convenient, please also upload a full screenshot of the Account page in the Excel application you are using for our reference. You can access the page via clicking on File>Account.

Note: Remove any private information before uploading the screenshots.

Moreover, I'd like to confirm whether the issue happens in a specific file.

Thanks for your effort and time.

    Cliff
