Hi, all my Word for Mac documents changed size while working on a file. Cropping from default 8.5" x 11" down to 7" x. 7.5".

Before cropping

Now

Page setup set to default 8.5" x 11". All new documents are now 7" x. 7.5".

I am using Microsoft Word for Mac home version 16.66.1 Mac OS Monterey version 12.6.1. 3.7 GHz 3.7 Quad Core Intel Xeon E5 with 64GB.

I have uninstalled office and done a fresh install.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You've merely toggled off the display of what Microsoft refers to as White Space, i.e., the top & bottom where Headers & Footers normally display.

Position the pointer on the top or bottom edge of the page. When it takes on this appearance double-click to toggle display of White Space on again. This also can be controlled in Word> Preferences - View.

BTW: For future reference please don't jump the gun by reinstalling the software. That's a hack that works on Windows PCs but isn't the same on a Mac. It's a last resort & requires full removal first i order to have any hope of succeeding. If not done properly it can cause more harm than good.

Bob, I cannot thank you enough for your help!

I am highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite but am a Luddite when working with Microsoft products.

    Have a fabulous weekend!
