I am trying to create a page by choosing saved template and i am getting following error message when i click on 'save as draft' option. I can see that it saved multiple versions under site pages and I am unable to open/edit any of the multiple versions that are created.

However, if i choose blank template and work on it, issue does not occur.

I am not able to save it as draft either nor publish it. When i click on save as draft button, i am seeing that pop up.
Seems like may be autosave is creating multiple versions.

As long as i am in that page, it keeps creating multiple versions under site pages.

This is happening for specific site only.
Is there a way, i can get connected with you or any developers directly .

I don't have the option to contact support through admin center and it wont be nice to ask our client to create ticket for further help.

    Dear Ashwin,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

Based on the description, after saving the draft page from page template cannot be open. Apologies for the inconvenience caused to you. Before moving forward, we need more detailed information about the situation you are experiencing.

Is this happening on a different site or only to specific site?

Kindly copy the template and save it to the same site to check if this is the template causing the behavior.

    • Click on the ellipses button beside the page template from Site pages library > Template.
    • Click on copy and select the same location.

Try to save the template as new template and try to publish it right away. Then check if you can reproduce the same behavior.

We look forward to your response. Thanks for your cooperation. Stay safe and healthy always.

    Sincerely,

    Zee | Microsoft Community Moderator
