Excel programs open in notepad

New computer..Imy excel programs are all opening in notepad..can't find file for office or excel to apply to file..

    thanks for your help

    I'm running a pc..it's new ..on my old pc i never had an issue

    I don't have office installed ..I'll try the link.

    Also having an issue with signing in..I have to change passwords every time.

    Hi Bruce1789,

    That will be the reason why your Excel files are opening in Notepad. You’ll need to install Excel or use the online version of Office in order to open these files.

    Are you using Windows or Mac?
    Is Office365 installed?
    When you refer to your excel programs do you mean the excel files them selves?
