One Note - printing problem

Question

I'm using OneNote from some time already (as part of MS 365 for enterprise).

Recently I spotted a problem with printing. I

f I'd like to print some page - I go to menu: File\Print\Printing and then chosing the pages like : 1-4 I can observe a unusual behaviour. Maybe it's worthy to mention I have two printers installed.

Anyway:

• sometimes it prints all the pages (no matter if I requested only 4 pages)
• sometimes it prints pages from some other tab - not sure why

I was able to print a proper content from File\Print\Print Preview - but here again - all pages are printed even I requested a range. It looks like a bug or mismatch on printing from any reason.

Kindly check on your end and help.

Thank you for the reply.

Since the problem happened on all the notebooks, to narrow down the scope of the issue and check whether the problem is related to the OneNote client or the Printer connection, you can try to switch to a new Windows User Profile to see if the same problem occurs on the new user profile.

thanks for reply.

I use the OneNote 2016 clinet only (keeping all the notes locally only) - so do not use Online one, so not able to check it the way you suggest.

For repair option of Apps and Features - under Office app I have only Uninstall button available.

2. This problem appears for all notebooks, but it behavious differently - it looks it prints the pages from other pages and do not care how many pages are marked for printing - looks like always prints full scope (all the pages)

Good day! Thank you for sharing your experience in our community.

Based on your description, when you try to print certain pages in OneNote, it will print all the pages or print from other tab.

To check whether the problem is related to the OneNote app, please go to OneNote Online and print pages to see if the same problem happen.

If the problem only happens on the OneNote 2016 clinet, you could try to fix Office client by performing a repair to see if the result. Try a quick repair first, and if that doesn't work, try the online repair.

Additionally, could you please provide some information for me?

1. Please open OneNote > File > Account > capture a full screenshot of the product information column;
2. Does the problem happen to a specific notebook or all notebooks?
