Account Switch Error

I'm a consultant. I'm trying to sign in to my remote machine via Microsoft RDP On Mac. Every time I attempt to sign in, the Microsoft sign-in page pre-populates the address with values that are no longer valid (from my old client). Any attempts to sign in with the new client credentials result in account switch error. I cannot for the life of me use RDP and connect to the new remote machine provided to me by my new client. I deleted and re-installed RDP client via Apple Store multiple times. For some reason, the old credentials keep popping in, and while by all accounts the new credentials are accepted, the 2-factor authentication is approved, it continues to show me the account switch error. I'm at my wits end with this. How can I obliterate the old credentials and sign in with new?

    Dear Ireney Berezniak,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per your description, as our category focus on Office 365 products, since your problem happened using Microsoft RDP on Mac, to make sure you get professional help, we’d suggest you go to  Microsoft remote-desktop-client Q&A****to post, that’s a specific channel to handle related questions about Microsoft RDP.

The reason I ask you to post in above mentioned category is that we have limited resources and very little knowledge about sign in to remote machine via Microsoft RDP on mac OS and in the above mentioned forum, you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction.

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,

    Waqas Muhammad
