I have Office 365 Apps for Enterprise license.

After all these years and regular updates, I still only have 4 Data Types under the Data tab.

Organization, Stock, Currencies and Geography.

When I look at Youtube videos, there are users with tons of Data types ex Food etc.

How do I get all of them?

    Dear Chris,

Hence it is for the Enterprise edition, there might be some restrictions in your organization.

    Did you check with them?

    Regards,

    Hi.

Thanks, but this is not the problem I have. I have it on my Data Ribbon already. The issue is my Data Types shows only the four icons I have mentioned before.

Hi Chris B I’m Gunasekar and I will be happy to help you out with your question.

Here are the Step-by-Step Procedures to Add Data Types to the Ribbon in Excel. This works only on Microsoft 365 editions.

STEP 1: Open Excel Options Window to Add Data Types to Ribbon.

    a. In the first step, we need to open the Excel Options window. b. To do so, go to the ribbon and click on the File tab. c. After that, click on Options.

(After clicking on Options, it will open the Excel Options window).

STEP 2: Go to Customize Ribbon Section.

    a. In the second step, select Customize Ribbon. b. Alternatively, you can directly open the Excel Options window. To do so, go to the ribbon and right-click on a blank space. c. It will open a context menu. Select Customize the Ribbon from it.

STEP 3: Add Data Types to the Selected Tab.

    a. Thirdly, we need to add data types from the customization section. b. Select ‘Main Tabs’ in the ‘Choose commands from’ field. c. Then, click on the plus (+) icon of the Data tab.

Now, select Data Types and click on Add.

STEP 4: Close the Excel Options Window

    a. In the last step, click OK to close the Excel Options window b. Finally, go to the Data tab and check the Data Types.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I’ll be glad to assist you further.

    Best regards,

    Gunasekar N
