Change numbering style in footnotes

I am using Word for Mac.

I originally wrote my document using endnotes. They were numbered 1, 2, 3,...

I converted all of them by highlighting them and right click to convert to endnotes.

The endnotes came up with i, ii, iii,... numbering format. How do I change those to numbers 1, 2, 3,...?

    Dear staynavytom,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per your description, please don’t worry, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation.

In Word on a Mac, Right-click into an endnote, then select Footnote... from the context menu: Using the drop-down menu under Number format, switch to your preferred style of numeral; then click the Apply button.

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,

    Waqas Muhammad

Go to Insert> Footnote in the main menu. Be sure Endnote option is selected then choose the Number Format you prefer.

Thanks. I would not have guessed to enter endnote to change something in a footnote.
