Edit theme fonts

I'm unable to edit theme fonts, to my own custom fonts, in PowerPoint 365 on Mac. I can only choose the standard Office sets with no option to customise or edit. I have the same problem in Word and also can't edit theme colours in Word (although I can in PowerPoint). Very frustrating, can anybody help?

While the program interface doesn't allow font theme creation, it quite easy to make one manually. It's a simple text file. Here's my how-to article: OOXML Hacking: Font Themes You can use TextEdit if you're careful, but the free version of BBEdit is easier to use.

Thank you so much! You've no idea how long I've spent trying to figure this out. I'm normally very cautious of anything that looks like coding but your concise instructions made it easy. I'm so very grateful - you've no idea!! I was also glad to know that those features are just missing from PowerPoint on Mac, and it's not just me! You would think there might be more articles relating to this on the MS support pages.

    Anyway, thank you again.

    From a very happy...
