Office 365 - word crash while spell check

Hi,

since a few days a small customer got an issue with word. Everytime they left click on a wrong spelled sentence a popup(or frame) came and he tried to load spell check informations and word crash with these events.

first pc:

We try these without success:

remove Sophos

repair visual c++ redistributable (ucrtbase.dll)

reinstall visual c++ redistributable

reinstall Office

One of his PCs is installed two weeks ago and works without any issue.

Anybody know these issue?

Environment:
Windows 10 20H1 and Windows 2004 (both are up to date, last patches KB4023057 KB5005033)
Sophos antivirus
Office 365 32-Bit(updated)
(language german for all)

    Hi @Dom Dom ,
    Did this problem appear in all Word documents?
    Please provide the detail version of Word application, go to File- Account so that I can test in the same version of Word and check if this problem is related to :

    I also suggest you open Word in safe mode, running the following command: Press Win + R, type "winword /safe" in the blank box, press Enter. If it works fine in safe mode, please check the add-ins in your Word and disable them.
    Click File > Options > Add-Ins on the left side of the dialog. Then click the drop-down arrow at the bottom of the dialog box and select "COM Add-Ins" from the list, then click the GO button. What comes up is a list of COM-Add Ins that are loaded and running.

    Hi,

    you are the best! Safemode works and when i disable the 3rd party addin from a software developer for this company all works again.

    I will test it on another PC and will give an update!

    All PCs works fine without the 3rd party addin.

    Problem solved from my point of view.
