Unable to view or edit forms

I am having trouble with Microsoft forms. The organization admin had created a number of group forms for use and under my account I am unable to see them under forms, shared with me or group forms. I am also incapable of creating new forms it just twirls and does nothing.

I am also an owner on the group and have had these forms shared with me both under "People in my organization can view and edit" and "specific people in my organization can view and edit." When I click the specific link given under "share to collaborate" it gives me this error message "Your account is not enabled for Microsoft Forms. Please contact your administrator for access, or switch to an authorized account."

I have logged in and out tried this with multiple forms, and double checked under services in the admin settings panel that I had access to forms but am still getting either the error message from the "share to collaborate" link or nothing on Microsoft Forms home page.

Please let me know how to fix this issue. Thank you.

    Hi Jestewart_08,

I understand your boss has a Forms license, but please understand to create a new form or to collaborate on a form, a user should have license assigned to him/her individually.

From your description, I can reproduce your scenario. Let me describe this with a situation, I have a User A who has Microsoft Forms (Plan E5) license enabled that comes with E5 subscription, and another user B who has E5 license, but Microsoft Forms (Plan E5) is unchecked in the list of assigned license (screenshot below).

User A created a new form and then sent a link for collaboration with People in my organization can view and edit permission, User B tried accessing the link and received the following error:

User B then tried accessing https://forms.office.com/ to create a new form and received:

I noticed you mentioned that you are listed as a Microsoft forms owner in Azure, may I know if you see the Microsoft forms tile in your account (as shown below)?

Also, may I request a screenshot of your Microsoft/Office 365 Subscriptions page? You can access this page via this link.

We will look forward to your reply.

    Thanks,

    Dear Jestewart_08,

Greetings! Thank you for posting in the Microsoft forum.

From your post, I understand you are getting the following error, right?

May I know if you have the global admin permission? If so, the first thing I will suggest is that please check whether Microsoft Forms is enabled for you or not.

    1. Open a browser, go to Office 365 portal and sign in with your work or school account as a global admin or licensing admin.
    2. In the Microsoft 365 admin center, choose Users > Active users.
    3. Select the box next to the name of the person for whom you want to turn off Microsoft Forms.
    4. On the ribbon, click Manage product licenses.
    5. On the account form that opens, on the Licenses and Apps tab, expand the Apps section and scroll down to the Microsoft Forms option, check if it is enabled.

In case you don’t have the global admin privileges on your tenant, check the Subscriptions page, you can access this page via this link, see if Microsoft forms is in the list of assigned services.

If the issue continues, please let us know. We will look forward to your reply. Stay safe and stay healthy.

    Sincerely,

This did not work. In the Microsoft 365 admin center Microsoft Forms is only listed under my bosses username not anyone elses. username However I am listed as a Microsoft forms owner in Azure. Also again not even sharing to collaborate with the "People in my organization can view and edit" option works. That has been enabled on forms and that link has been used and I have gotten the error message.

If I just go to Microsoft Forms (https://forms.office.com/) I get "We're having trouble getting your documents Please try again later." and no forms are shown and I cannot create a form.

    Thank you for your help.
