Difficulty editing notes in OneNote upon opening (iPad Pro)

I have an iPad Pro running IOS 15.5. I use OneNote extensively for work. I have a reoccurring issue where I open a note but am unable to edit it. I can scroll up and down to look at the note but I cannot edit the note. I can neither edit from the Home tab nor the draw tab using Apple pencil. I can only see the note (no editing). Has anybody seen an issue like this with iPad? Any advice how to resolve it?

I try to resolve this first by closing that note, selecting another, and then going back to the note I want to edit. usually this makes it work ~80% success rate). If that does not work I will close OneNote and then restart the application, access the same note, and I can usually edit (repeat as needed). I rely heavily on this application and it is frustrating in meetings when I have to fumble about with my iPad trying to be able to start taking notes. THANKS!

    Hello Jim,

I'm Diane, an Office Apps & Services MVP and I’m happy to help you today.

It happens to me too - and sticky notes, which I use a lot, often need my to sign in again. It's been good since I reset OneNote
(in the ipad's settings). It's only been a couple of weeks though.

Did you have the latest updates installed?
