Using Android built-in security key with Microsoft Account

Hi everyone.

I recently enabled the built-in android security key on my Pixel 6 Pro. I registered it with my Google Account and it works fine. I connected it also with my Bitwarden Password Vault.

So, my question now:

Can I use this feature with my Microsoft Personal and Business Account? I experienced a clear "nope". When I try to connect it to my Personal Account, I receive a message on my phone but after the confirmation I get an error like this one:

Has anyone tried this with success? Btw, on my business account I get the same error.

    Hi,

I’m Bambi and I’ll be happy to help you with your question.

Microsoft has its own security system for its accounts. This is the 2FA and also the Authenticator app.

Any of these two would work for Microsoft accounts, both personal and business.

I hope this answers your question.

    Best Regards, Bambi
