Excel Indirect function

Hi,

It's been quite a long time since I used indirect, and can't remember the syntax for different sheets
I essentially have drop down lists with sheet names columns, and row numbers,

can someone point out what I'm doing wrong, I seem to have been through ever combination of quotes double quotes etc.

in the top example I had included the exclamation mark in the name sheet1!

    To answer my own question,

    the exclamation mark needs to be outside the quotes so "'"Sheet1"'"&"!" or

    'Sheet1'!
