Hi,

I am using Excel and am trying to import data to my spreadsheet. After selecting Get Data > Microsoft Exchange I have the following window. It is a zoomed in version of the window however I have tried multiple ways to get it to zoom out. Any help on solving this issue would be appreciated.

    Dear SF123SFSI,

Greetings! Thank you for posting in the Microsoft forum.

Please try running Excel in safe mode, check if you still experience the same problem. To know how to start Excel in safe mode, see Open Office apps in safe mode on a Windows PC. When Excel app opens, check if the ribbon is active, if not, click File>New>Blank workbook, now go to Data>Get Data>From Other sources> From Microsoft Exchange. To identify if Excel is running in safe mode, check the top ribbon, it should appear as the screenshot below.

If it works fine in safe mode, it might be possible that there’s an add-in which is affecting the performance. While in Excel safe mode, follow the instructions below to identify which add-in is causing it to happen:

    1. Click File > Option > Add-ins, then click Go in the Manage: COM Add-ins.
    2. Clear the checkbox if you'll see any add-ins, then disable them.
    3. Close Excel app and relaunch it after.
    4. Check if you'll still get the same behavior.

We appreciate your understanding that sometimes the initial suggestion may not resolve the problem. However, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation. If the issue persists, please provide the following information:

    1. Please provide the screenshot of Microsoft 365 Product Information. To get this screenshot, open Word or Excel, click File>Account, capture the screenshot of all the information mentioned under Product Information.
    2. May I know if clicking any other option (such as From web or From SharePoint or From Active directly etc.) shows similar behavior?

We will look forward to your reply. Stay safe and stay healthy.

    With sincerest regards,

    Hi Neha,

Safe mode did not help. The issue is still occurring. The same issue occurs when I click the other options as well. I had no add ins selected either. Our IT guy has completed a repair scan on Excel and no issues where identified.

    Hi SF123SFSI,

    Thanks for replying.

I understand the above suggestion didn’t work and you have tried repairing Office. May I suggest checking hardware graphics acceleration? For this, click File>Options>Advanced, scroll to the Display section and check the box to the left of Disable hardware graphics acceleration and click the OK button.

In case the above suggestion didn’t work, let us perform a clean boot. A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your program. To know how, see How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

    Regards,

    Neha
