The Phone System license is not enough. There are four steps to configure Direct Routing:
- Step 1. Connect the SBC with Microsoft Phone System and validate the connection
- Step 2. Enable users for Direct Routing, voice, and voicemail
- Step 3. Configure voice routing
- Step 4. Translate numbers to an alternate format
The step 4 guides you to use the Number Translation Rules policy to translate numbers for outbound calls, which is from a Teams client(caller) to a PSTN endpoint(callee).
