Word: Hidden header text in separate window

I can search for a result "XXXXX Securities Limited" but nothing is in the header section.

If I use control H to search, the screen is split into 2 halves. A separate header section is shown which I have never seen. And I can find the text there.

My question is - what is this section? Should we use it? Usually, users only double-click the header to edit the header. How to avoid users putting text there?

I can happy to provide sample if there is a upload space.

If you start a search from the main body of the document, and the word is found in a header or footer, Word will highlight the found word in a separate pane at the bottom of the document. This is normal.

Since each Word section can contain up to three different headers (first page, even page, odd page header) and the same applies to footers, content may be inside a header or footer which isn't currently showing (for example because the document is only one page long).

If you want to, you can upload a sample document to OneDrive or Dropbox (or some other cloud storage that you are using) and then post a share link in this thread.

    I'm glad I could help.

It is worth remembering that ticking and unticking an option such as "Different first page" doesn't really delete the first page header content; it is just a matter of showing or hiding it.

Thanks mate you have explained the situation.

I realised that the text is at a normal header section. But that section only contains 1 page which is also a different first page section. That's why I cant see the text by search.

I can see the text now if I untick “different first page” at first page header section or create a new page under that section.
