Sending log in code by mail does not work

Hi!
I need help, as I need to log in to my Microsoft account on my pc, but have forgotten the password.

Luckily I am still logged in on my phone, and there is the option to log in by being sent a code to the mail address to log in (seems only visible in incognito tabs?)

But this button does not send a code to my address, what can I do?

I have already tried the password-reset page, on my phone and on my PC. There doesn't seem to be an option to change the password in the app, sadly.

    Hello AdiOdi, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;

    I understand that you are unable to reset your Microsoft account password;

    Initially I recommend that you try to access the link:https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx

    Re-enter the username for the account you are trying to reset and select Next;

    Verify your identity and select a verification option for the code to be sent (email or phone);

    Click Next;

    The code will be sent, enter the verification code and reset the password;

    Sorry I wasn't clear enough: I have already tried exactly this, and it sadly didn't work either, as it says I have too little information.

    But as I saw the option to log in by using a code as seen in the screenshot I thought that option might be more promising! My problem is that that mail does not seem to be sent.

    This is the site I'm led to, but the code is not sent

    Dear AdiOdi,in this case I recommend you try using the phone as a verification option;

    Access the link:https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx

    Re-enter the username of the account you are trying to reset and select Next;

    Select phone as verification option;

    Check that the code reaches the phone;

    If that doesn't work, try filling out the account recovery form:

    Hmm, this does sadly not solve the problem, this mail arrives, but I do not seem to have enough information...

    But I saw an option to log in by getting sent some sort of code without doing a password reset, just doing a regular log in, but this does not trigger a mail being sent, even through it says it does... do you know what could be up there?
