MS Forms Outputs to Excel file saved in OneDrive instead of SharePoint

I have been using a form which outputs to an excel file in SharePoint.

I needed to make some changes to the form, so I copied it, and made the requisite changes. Now the output to Excel is saved in my OneDrive instead of Sharepoint. I need this file to be accessible to the rest of the firm.

Using the web interface, I moved the file from OneDrive to the proper folder in SharePoint. This resulted in new form entries not being updated in the file (MS Forms cannot find it).

Is there a way to configure where MS Forms writes the Excel file?

    Dear Errrrrrrrrrik,

Good day! Thank you for posting your query in our community. We are happy to help you.

Based on your description, you want to export Forms responses to Excel and save them to SharePoint.

If your SharePoint site is connected with a group, then you could create the Excel file and form via the Forms for Excel option under the "+ New" button in the library, a new form and a related Excel workbook will be created via this option. So all the responses to the form will be saved to the Excel workbook automatically. However, you need to manually add the questions in the Forms instead of copying from the old form.

If you still have a concern about it, please feel free to post back.

    Sincerely,

There are 60+ fields with branching... is there a way to force the excel file to a new location where the form will be apprised of the move?

    Dear Errrrrrrrrrik,

    Thank you for the reply.

If you don't want to manually copy the fields, it is possible that Microsoft Power Automate could meet your requirement to export the Form responses to Excel file saved in SharePoint automatically.

I found a thread which has the similar query with you in Microsoft Power Automate Community, such as: Solved: Form Response to Excel Spreadsheet - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com). So my suggestion is to post on dedicated Microsoft Power Automate Community, and you will get a more detailed and professional answer to your query there.

    We appreciate your understanding.

    Sincerely,
