Sharing a file from OneDrive automatically include my email address in CC. How to remove this settings?

Hello,

My account or email address is automatically included when I share a file from OneDrive. Once the file is shared to user, it triggers an email stating that this file is shared.

Please tell me whether any settings available to stop adding the email address in CC field.

Dear George,

Thanks for your update. I'll post this in Microsoft Feedback Portal and get some suggestions and updates. I tried the copy option already and it worked. I hope this is the default feature from Microsoft for the email settings for sharing a file via OneDrive.

For your query, if you choose to share the link by sending the email, I 'm afraid there is no built-in settings that can remove your email address from the shared email (in CC field). Based on the situation, you can post a suggestion in Microsoft Feedback Portal where other users also post their suggestions here. It's the platform for us to hear your voice and improve our products.

As a workaround, you can send the shared link to the user directly. Click the Copy button as shown in the image below, then send it to the user in other applications, like Teams.
