Planner External Notifications

Hello,

Is it possible to have Planner notify a external guest (outside of the tenant) when a new task is assigned to them?

At the moment the external party is part of the plan however they do not receive notifications when tagged or when a new task is assigned to the external party.

Internal notifications work as expected.

    For your query, I am afraid the external users won’t receive notifications when the task is assigned to them. I apologize that this caused inconvenience to you. Based on the situation, I would like to suggest you vote for the suggestion in Microsoft Feedback Portal where other members voted for a similar idea. It’s the platform for us to hear your voice and improve our products.

    As a workaround, you may use Power Automate flow to send notifications to external users. Here is a thread where members discussed sending emails to external users. If you have more concerns about building flow, since we have a specific channel Microsoft Power Automate Community coping with such building flow questions, I would like to suggest you post a new thread there for expert help.
