Onedrive filename sync issues

Question

I am having the above error on my imac in Onedrive.

This does not happen to any of the same files and folders on Windows or Android devices. My instinct tells me this might be an issue with Imac in that perhaps the Onedrive app isn't coded properly or simply isn't working properly.

anyone know how to fix this...its driving me nuts.

I cant sync images from android devices without all this errors because it doesn't like the android default naming system, I cant sync heaps of documents I am sent from other businesses even from other programs on the Imac itself wont sync when moved to onedrive. Most of the problematic ones are default file names I haven't even changed...I mean this is bloody ridiculous as surely well known programs should be following a universal standard that the Onedrive app on the IMAC must conform too???

I don't have any problems with Dropbox or Google drive...they work perfectly on the IMAC...however, Onedrive (which I am paying for a business subscription to as part of Office 365 is a pain in the ****!!!

Why is it doing this? How the heck can I simply force this piece of #$% to syn anyway...it sync these same apparently problematic files and folders no problem on other devices...just not on the imac!

Generally, there is some character limitations in File Names or Folder names in OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Windows, and Mac, here are the following characters which are restricted:

But as you mentioned the same files are syncing without any problem on the other devices, I would like to confirm whether the problematic files which are not able to sync contains any characters mentioned in the above screenshot?

In addition, can you please share a screenshot of the OneDrive sync app About page? Click on the OneDrive icon in the Apple Menu bar> Settings & More> Preferences> About tab

Apart from the above-requested information, please help us to share the below which will help validate the situation on your side to find if it's caused by the limitation or an issue:

1. Screenshot for the sync folder showing sync error with file name & folder name.
2. If you change the name of the file, do you encounter the same sync error?
